Riyadi Prabowo decided to travel to Yogyakarta in 2013 for a course in Communication Studies. But, when living there, he became more interested in learning and exploring film. After his earliest works in 2013, he directed several films including short documentary, short fiction, music video, public service announcements, commercial advertisements- receiving multiple awards for his work. 

At the end of 2017, he achieved the Gold Young Film Director award in Pinasthika Creativestival XMVIII.
